PREPARATION OF THE DETOX TEAS: Put 2 tablespoons of herbs in 600ml of distilled water. Leave to soak overnight. Bring to the boil in the morning and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain and drink warm. If you drink more tea tomorrow, do not throw away used herbs. Put used herbs back into the pot, add 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs and 600ml of distilled water. Leave it to rest overnight and repeat the entire procedure. Used herbs last up to 3 days.

How it works

The Detox tea works on different levels. It is literally an all-purpose herbal tonic. It is a powerful stimulant, especially for the stomach, liver and digestive side of the pancreas.

It also cleanses the skin and detoxifies the blood, liver and gall bladder and is the perfect tea to use after the Liver Flush Drink as part of the 5-day LEBER Detox. It stimulates your liver to produce more bile and then flushes away the bile and fats that clog your liver and gallbladder.

Ginger, cardamom, fennel, cinnamon, black peppercorns and cloves are famous classic digestive herbs and have been part of traditional herbal medicine for centuries. Cardamom, roasted dandelion, burdock and orange peel stimulate the liver to excrete more bile. Dandelion, burdock, horsetail and parsley are diuretics. Juniper Berry and Uva Ursi leaf are also disinfectants for the urinary tract. The inner bark of the Pau d'Arco tree is an immunostimulant and liquorice has a calming and healing effect on the digestive tract.
